Tests & Results

Patient test results will not be provided over the phone by clinic staff to ensure privacy and compliance with the Health Information Act.

Note: Results are available via the Alberta MyHealth Records site or App.

However, if you have a concern, the clinic advises all patients to book an appointment with your family physician to obtain test results approximately two weeks after the test has been completed.

Prescription Renewals

All prescriptions renewals must must be completed during an in-person appointment or via a scheduled tele-health appointment.

We will not accept faxed or phoned prescription renewal requests from patients, pharmacies or other third parties.

Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

No Show Policy

A “no show” is a patient who misses an appointment without prior cancellation of a minimum of two hours before booked appointment time.

No-shows inconvenience and restrict those patients who need critical access to medical care in a timely manner and are costly to the medical practice.

An administrative fee of $40.00 will be applied and fully payable before further appointments may occur.

Three no shows will unfortunately result in the patient’s dismissal from the medical practice.

A failure to present to the clinic reception at the time of a scheduled meet and greet appointment without any prior cancellation will be recorded in the patient’s electronic chart as a “no show” and the patient will not be able to rebook any other appointments in the future at Taylor North Medical

Appointment Cancellations

If it is necessary for you to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you contact us via phone or via appointments@taylornorthmedical.com a minimum of two (2) hours before the booked appointment time.

If a booked appointment is not cancelled in advance, the late cancellation may be considered a “no show”.

Appointments are in very high demand, and your early cancellation will give another patient the opportunity to have access to  medical care.

Uninsured Services

Uninsured patient services are medical services not paid for by provincial health care.

These services may include:

  • Third Party Insurance Forms and Reports

  • Government Agency Reports

  • Driver’s Medical Reports

  • School and Employment related reports and forms

  • Medical Procedures and injections

  • Various clinical administrative charges

Patients are encouraged to inquire with staff whether a particular service request is uninsured.

Fees for all uninsured patient services are based on the Alberta Medical Association fee guidelines.
